A disinfectant is a product intended to control specified microorganisms on specified surfaces under the conditions stated on its label.
What this means at your property
Cleaning visible soil and applying a disinfectant are different steps. A product may require preparation, a defined contact time and particular surface conditions. Its name alone cannot establish suitability for upholstery, unfinished wood or another porous material.
What should the cleanup record identify?
Ask for the product and the surfaces treated, along with any material limitations or follow-up work. Do not mix products or assume that a stronger concentration improves performance. The label governs how the product is used.
