Identify the material
Keep fabric labels, flooring information and manufacturer care guidance available. Point out fading, damaged seams, loose finishes or prior treatments that might affect cleaning.
Prepare the work area
Remove small valuables, identify fragile items and discuss who will move furniture. Let the team know about pets, equipment, preferred access times and product restrictions.
Discuss results and drying
Cleaning removes soil but does not necessarily reverse wear, dye changes or permanent stains. Review likely limitations, drying instructions and when the area can return to normal use.
