Preparation is the work agreed before cleaning, restoration or construction begins. It can include arranging access, documenting existing conditions, protecting belongings and identifying services that need specialist attention.
What property owners can organize
Identify the person who can approve work, the rooms involved and any access restrictions. Share photos already taken, material care instructions and records of previous repairs. Agree on how keys, deliveries, pets and tenant communication will be handled.
Confirm the actual work zone
Preparation does not automatically mean the entire building must be empty. Ask which areas will be unavailable, whether occupants can remain elsewhere and when those arrangements will be reviewed. The answer depends on the work and conditions, so it belongs in the project plan.
