Infrared drying uses radiant energy to heat a target material and support moisture evaporation under controlled conditions.
What this means at your property
Heating a surface is only one part of drying. The released moisture still needs a path out, and the material and finish must tolerate the proposed conditions. This method should not be confused with using an infrared camera to observe surface temperatures.
What should a proposal explain?
Ask why the material is a candidate, how temperature and moisture will be monitored and what findings would stop or change the treatment. A warm surface is not evidence that all underlying layers are dry.
