A secondary container is a container used after a product is transferred from its original packaging, such as a working spray bottle.
What this means at your property
The new container can become separated from the original label and instructions. An unidentified liquid at a job site creates confusion about contents, compatibility and use, even if the person who filled it initially knew what it held.
What should the project team be able to identify?
Ask the provider to maintain appropriate product identification and access to label and safety information. Do not use an unknown liquid or combine leftovers. Keep product questions with the person responsible for chemical handling.
