Post-conditions are the conditions documented after a task or project phase is completed. They should be compared with the objectives agreed for that work.
What this means at your property
A drying report may describe final readings and remaining repairs. A cleaning report may list the surfaces treated and exclusions. Neither record automatically establishes completion of unrelated electrical, structural or reconstruction work.
What should the handover include?
Request dated observations, the areas addressed, outstanding items and the person responsible for follow-up. Ask which completion criteria were used so “finished” has a specific meaning rather than simply indicating that the crew has left.
