A photograph, mold color or musty smell cannot provide that information. An environmental finding and a medical diagnosis answer different questions, so reports should avoid combining them into an unsupported conclusion.

Document moisture, affected materials and the reason for any proposed testing. Ask what the test can and cannot establish and how it changes the work. Discuss individual symptoms or exposure concerns with a healthcare professional.
