Antifungal describes an action or product intended to act against fungi. The word alone does not identify a product’s approved use or the surface it can treat.
What this means at your property
A coating, cleaner and medical product can all use similar terminology while serving very different purposes. For building work, the proposal should name the actual product and explain the intended application rather than promise that a generic treatment resolves every mold concern.
Does applying a product replace moisture repair?
No. Ask how the water source and affected materials will be addressed. Use building products according to their labels and avoid substituting a treatment claim for a documented assessment.
