Unsanitary water is a general description of water presenting a contamination concern. A project assessment should identify the source and contact conditions more specifically.

What this means at your property

Drain backups, outdoor water entry and water that has contacted other materials can require different responses. Clear appearance does not prove cleanliness, and drying a surface does not establish that contamination has been addressed.

What details help the cleanup provider?

Describe the source if known, when the event occurred and where water traveled. Avoid moving belongings through the affected area, and ask how material assessment, cleaning or removal decisions will be documented.
