Fungi

The plural of fungus, also known as “mold”. A diverse group of single-celled organisms that also include mushroom, smuts, rusts, and yeasts. They are decomposers of organic matter such as wood, plants, fabric, and animals and can be found both indoors and outdoors. To survive, fungi need organic nutrients, moisture, and oxygen.
